Who.

I'm Toni Apa. BCGD, PG Dip CGD - (Computer Graphic Design).

My disciplines of training are computer graphic design and digital media.

My professional skill sets are based around print and web design and video production and post production.

I'm father to my 2 beautiful girls, and husband to my first wife. ;-)

My wife Jane and I founded Wedding Day Videos in 2003 and since then I've filmed over 200 weddings.

What.

I film live events. Primarily weddings and family gatherings.

I design websites, logos, and create advertising in print and video.

Why.

Because I am passionate and enthusiastic about my work. I happen to be in that special group of people where it's a privilege to do what I do as a job.

Many people assume that capturing memories is what a videographer does. And from a romantic perspective it is almost true, but before the polish goes on, the hard work takes place. What you remember of the day will always bring back the emotions. Those memories will always remain in your mind, to be recalled by a particular thought or a certain song. But it is the carefully crafted wedding video that helps to make those memories brighter and sometimes keeps them honest. :-)

When you sit down to share the events that unfolded on your wedding day, you'll share the colours, the sounds, the movement, the laughter and the tears too. It becomes an event, an evening of reminiscing. A reason to cuddle up or shed a tear or two.

In some cultures they reckon that videos capture the soul of a person. Well in some ways those cultures have got it spot on.

Where.

I attend and film weddings anywhere in the North Island. And the South Island by special arrangement.

How.

By caring about the final video. By making special effort to capture what you may have missed. By maintaining a subtle presence.

By capturing the day as it happens. By upgrading the technology when needed. By decreasing the number of events filmed annually. By adding more to each video package.
